Plus, relaxed futsal and floorball mini-tournaments offer fun, low-threshold ways to get active together.

uMove Day - Group fitness
Join us for uMove Day's 4-hour burst of energizing group fitness! The program kicks off with a gentle Yogalates session to awaken body and mind, followed by a sweaty BODYATTACK™ workout, Hip-hop old school dance party, and finishes with the free-flowing Ecstatic Dance. You can join 1,2,3 or all 4 classes! This event is open to everyone – move, dance, and enjoy the good vibes!
Date and timing: Friday, October 24, form 2:00 PM to 6:15 PM.
Right to participate: All JYU & Jamk students and staff members.
Number of participants / class: Max. 70 participant / class
Registration & participation fee:
Registration starts on Monday 22 September at 12:00 PM and ends on Tuesday 21 October at 11:59 PM, or until the classes are full.
The classes are free of charge for uMove members. Without membership the fee is €4 per class.

Note: The university does not refund the participation fee if you are unable to attend. Cancellations must be notified to umove@jyu.fi.
Changing and Shower Facilities: Changing rooms, shower facilities, and saunas (3-6 PM.) are available in the Liikunta-building.
Insurance: Participants are not insured by uMove. uMove services and events are recreational sports services, and participants in the tournament are not insured by the organizer.
First Aid: First aid supplies for minor injuries can be found in the lobbies of the Liikunta-building. In acute situations, call emergency number 112. Warm up your body
Yogalates blends the best of yoga and Pilates: body control, mobility, and core strengthening. This session kicks off the event and serves as a dynamic warm-up, preparing both body and mind for the more energetic and intense activities that follow. Of course, you can join only the Yogalates class and head relaxed for the weekend after that. The class suitable for all levels – join us to awaken your body gently yet effectively!
Bring comfy clothes and a water bottle with you.
You can find the mat for the class in the equipment room L149.

3:00-3:45 PM. - BODYATTACK™ (Voimistelusali, VS)
Let’s get the sweat on
BODYATTACK™ is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. A LES MILLS™ instructor will pump out energizing tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way.
Bring indoor shoes, a water bottle and a sweat towel with you.
The class is instructed by Iida Laatikainen-Raussi.
4:00-4:50 PM. - Hip-hop Old School (Voimistelusali, VS)
Let’s get the party started
Learn classic hip-hop moves, dance together, and enjoy the groove. No dance experience needed – just bring your energy and good vibes! See you on the dance floor.
Bring indoor shoes (optional) and a water bottle with you.
Ecstatic Dance is free movement without choreography or rules – just follow your body’s rhythm. No talking, no substances, no judgment – only music, movement, and presence. The session flows from gentle awakening to energetic beats and ends in relaxation.
Bring a water bottle and warm clothes for the final relaxation – and an open mind.
You can find the mat for the relaxation part of the class in the equipment room L149.

uMove Day - uMove x Riemu Futsal-tournament
Join the uMove x Riemu Futsal Tournament!
Challenge yourself and your friends, and come experience the excitement of the tournament. The most important thing is a relaxed atmosphere and playing together!
The tournament is organized by Liikunnan Riemu in cooperation with uMove.
Date and timing: Friday, October 24, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Right to participate: All JYU & Jamk students and staff members.
Number of participants / teams (min-max): 4-6 teams
Team size (min–max): 5–10 players per team.
Rules and Guidelines (preliminary):
One series with six (6) teams, two groups, playoffs, and placement matches.
Each team will play at least three (3) matches in the tournament.
Match time is 2 × 10 minutes, no extra time.
5 vs. 5 + goalkeepers.
Mixed teams (more than one gender must be represented on the field at all times).
Tackling is prohibited. If the ball crosses the sideline or hits the ceiling, play continues with an opponent’s kick-in.
Flying substitutions, unlimited number of substitutions.
Free kicks are taken from the spot where play was stopped.
Penalty kicks are awarded only for clearly denying a goal-scoring opportunity.
The final rules and guidelines, refereeing, and tournament brackets will be sent to the teams before the start of the tournament.
Registration:
Registration opens on Monday 22 September at 12:00 and closes on Tuesday 21 October at 23:59, or once the tournament is full.
uMove x Riemu Futsal Tournament is free of charge.
Teams can consist of students and staff of the University of Jyväskylä and Jamk University of Applied Sciences, regardless of uMove membership.
Mixed teams (more than one gender must be represented on the field at all times).
Registration takes place via the link below.
Teams register as a whole — the team “captain” registers the entire team (individual members do not need to register separately).
Confirmation of the tournament will be sent to teams no later than Wednesday 22 October.
